This morning God is showing how important this is to understand and believe it! I do pray for a deeper revelation of His Word here!
So, God is completely in control...And I believe He wants us to know that!
I don’t think it’s the big bad devil who’s running loose foiling God’s plans!. God is Sovereign and in control of everything even the Tribulation to come!!
Before you jump down my throat, let me reassure you that I am not denying that there is the devil.. and he is roaring around like a lion, stealing and destroying and deceiving is propably what he loves doing best!..
The thoughts in my heart this morning are concerning the fact that we are in a war and that we are not fighting flesh and blood.. and the Lord is showing me that our ‘wrong’ thinking needs to be ‘renewed’ with His Word and His truth..
Remember the ‘helmet’ of salvation which part of our spiritual ‘armour’ has to do with our ‘mind’ our thoughts..
Ephesians 6:13-17
We need to have the understanding that we have the safety and protection built on the promises of God.. and as followers of Christ we can live in freedom and in the light.. Our hope is in this.. that we who have Christ in our heart (through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit) cannot be cheated out of the hope of His promises..Good time to look at Eve’s story!! She failed to trust/obey God and what He said.. end of story!
When we investigate what the Bible says we quickly see that indeed our God and Father is in complete control of everything!
Lets continue our quest to getting to KNOW HIM.. :-)
“All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and He does according to His will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay His hand or say to Him, "What have you done" (Daniel 4:35)?
God does what He wants when He wants according to His will! There is nothing that man or the devil can do that is not according to God’s will.
Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass,
When the Lord has not commanded it?
Is it not from the mouth of the Most High
That woe and well-being proceed?
Lamentations 3:37,38
When the Lord has not commanded it?
Is it not from the mouth of the Most High
That woe and well-being proceed?
Lamentations 3:37,38
We need to remember at this point that God is outside our ‘time’ dimension.. He has seen the beginning and the end.. We can’t surprise God! There is no coincidence with God!
Even in the Great Tribulation that is to come..God is Sovereign.. (Rev 13:7) It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. Satan is granted permission and authority to overcome the saints!!
Satan is given authority in order to test the saints just as one sifts the wheat from the chaff. (Luke 3:17) His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather the wheat into His barn; but the chaff He will burn with unquenchable fire”
I believe we are to Always look to Jesus.. Put Him in the centre of every question in our heart, of every storm we are facing..and perhaps ponder on this question? Could it be that God is in charge and He is testing us to see if we love His Word.? (He is the Word)..Are we prepared in our heart to make the decision to completely give Him lordship of our whole being?
But how? This is what I believe the Lord showed me this morning..
"And when (Jesus) had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was afterward an hungered. And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If Thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But (Jesus) answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:2-4)
(Psalm 91:9) If you make the Most High your dwelling— even the LORD, who is my refuge- (10) then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. (11) For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways (12) they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. (13) You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. (14) "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. (15) He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
